Fuchs Trucking

About

Fuchs Trucking was founded in 1955 by LeRoy and Willard Fuchs. The business started with one straight truck and one tractor‐trailer focused on hauling livestock and forest products. In 1970, the business expanded and moved to its current location. Expansions continued as the business started supporting new markets. In 1990, LeRoy passed away and the company’s operations transferred to his five children and their spouses. The company focused their efforts on trucking operations in 2008 when it discontinued its livestock operations.

After nearly 60 years in operation, the Fuchs family transferred ownership to two local entrepreneurial families to further expand the company and support the Sauk Community. Fuchs now employs over 125 people and has 100 tractors, 195 dry van trailers with terminals in Sauk City, WI and Minneapolis, MN.
