What began as a modest operation for storing dairy and frozen products quickly grew to three facilities by 1959 with the second-generation Pokels. By 1989, expansion led to five facilities across Wisconsin, and the business split into two separate companies in Green Bay and Darien, incorporating the third generation. From 1989 to 2003, we became the 14th largest PRW in North America, managing over 630,000 sq. feet and servicing 70+ customers, prompting us to establish Wisconsin Logistics for in-house transport needs. As we continued to evolve, we added divisions for food-grade industrial construction and Value Added Services. Today, Midwest Refrigerated Services in Milwaukee is a leading 3PL provider, operating the largest 48-state LTL fresh consolidation pool with comprehensive services, including storage, distribution, and cross-docking. We partner with major brands to ensure products are delivered excellently and on time, managing 14 locations with over 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space.
